Where can you hold a Humanist ceremony? Wherever the heck you please! Three years ago Alex and Pete proved this point magnificently showing everyone they loved their favourite place in the world. Three generations of Alex’s family skied here, and yesterday they took their newest addition back to the scene – so that’s four generations!
The village in the Dolomites got so excited about the wedding that everyone stayed locally and discounted, the ski resort itself offered every wedding guest discounted hire and ski passes, so the next day when Alex and Pete skied back down the mountain spectacularly in their full wedding attire, everyone else enjoyed a day’s skiing on their mountain too. Each and every guest signed a pair of old skis as witnesses, and I got to wear a dream green coat to marry them in (thank you @simonerussellart!!)
We only get this one life, making unforgettable memories with those we love seems like a pretty excellent way to spend it.
